Echo to the Wind
An improvisatory performance by Japanese dancer Yuko Imazaike and multimedia artist Hila Laiser Beja.
This unique event never repeats itself, as the two performers follow the tradition of Japanese KYOGEN choreography, that brings together ancient ritual movements and contemporary ways of expression, all while listening to the body’s singular responses to its environments, and interior and exterior sounds and pulses.
Laiser-Beja corresponds with Imazaike’s movements by utilizing her video camera, projecting the outcome footage in the space, altering the stage and its surrounding with special dimensions.
The movements of these two creators, while circling each other, are balancing one another in a Yin-Yang manner.
Each performance is spontaneous and site-specific, therefore will never be delivered in the same way in future acts.
